MOTORBIKE owners will get their motors running — and eventually head out on the highway — for Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation later this month.

The Revving the River Festival returns for the second year from January 26-28 but organisers predict it will be bigger and better.

Highlights will include the Blues Brothers Tribute Band ‘A Briefcase Of Blues’ on Friday night and Chocolate StarFish performing on the Echuca wharf on Saturday. It is a fully licensed event so there is no BYO alcohol.

On Friday there will be a small bike tour of Echuca for who would like to see a few sites.

The following day there is a show and shine from 10am to 12pm on Murray Esplanade.

There will also be a ‘Mankini Dash Ride’ to raise funds on Saturday morning at 11am followed by Zaidee’s Poker Run (a 280km ride through places including Heathcote, Nagambie, Rushworth and Kyabram) at 2pm.

The Star Hotel and Henry’s Bridge Hotel will be the base for riders and supporters and will provide catering on the wharf both nights.

Zaidee Turner died in 2014 when she was just seven-years-old.

But her organs and tissues were donated so that others could live and that has since become her legacy.

Tickets to the festival are $10 each night and will be sold at AutoBarn, Echuca. For information visit
