WHAT do you call a dog with three legs?

Well in this case you can call her Koda.

The gentle one-year-old Wolfhound mixed breed Staghound may be missing a limb but she doesn’t let that get in the way of anything.

For reasons unknown, Koda was surrendered to the Campaspe Animal Shelter with three legs and has been available for adoption since August 28.

She is a sweet and kind natured dog and is after her forever home.

High fences is a must for this lass, at least 6ft high, as she is quite tall when she gets on her hind legs.

While her ailment is not causing her any discomfort or preventing her from living an energetic lifestyle it is possible that she will require medical treatment later in life.

But she may not.

With only three legs it is important that Koda goes to a home where her waist line will be carefully watched to not cause any additional stress to her remaining limbs.

Koda is available for adoption for $355.

If you would like to meet Koda or to find out some more information contact the Campaspe Animal Shelter on 5480 3005 or head to their website
