DOG owners will have the chance to receive some top-level advice at an event in Echuca later this month.

Qualified dog trainer Kathleen Kemp is hosting a session on dog training and behaviour at Campaspe Shire function room in Echuca on Wednesday, August 23, between 7pm and 8.30pm.

She will share her knowledge on animal training and behaviour, with a focus on training methods and what owners need to be aware of when living with canine companions.

Ms Kemp is head of teaching and learning at Moama Anglican Grammar, but has always been a keen animal lover and completed minors in zoology and psychology as part of her science degree.

She was a level one National Coaching and Accreditation Scheme Coach with the Equestrian Federation of Australia and trained horses and their riders for many years.

ACE Dogs is running this month’s program in conjunction with Campaspe Animal Shelter.

Guests are asked to RSVP by August 18 to Kate Kemp on 5480 3005, 0405 820 044 or k.kemp@campaspe.vic.gov.au
